WHAT DO THE KNIGHTS MEAN IN TAROT?

I hope you’re having fun practising Tarot and finding these mini lessons helpful.

This one is all about moving forward.

Yes, that’s right. We are talking about the Knights.

THE KNIGHTS GIVE POSITIVE ADVICE IN A TAROT READING

They instruct you to take a look at your situation and then take the appropriate action to move towards the highest outcome.

The Knight sits on his horse, scouring the land with his eyes, and then he chooses which direction to move in next. He is not subject to any outside influences. The decision to move is his.

Let’s Take a Look at The Suit-Specific Meanings For The Knights:

Each suit shares a different perspective on the advice The Knight Tarot cards have for you.

THE KNIGHT OF CUPS TAROT MEANING

Ok, everyone secretly likes this card because the Cups can talk of true love. But they can also show other emotions that may be present. The Knight of Cups is charming. This card could mean that someone new is about to enter your life if that’s what you are ready for. The Knight of Cups represents romance and idealistic viewpoints. Depending on the card position, it could mean that you’re being too idealistic about a goal or relationship, or not idealistic enough.

A good coaching question would be:

What positive feelings can I tap into right now, and how can I act on them? This could be in regards to relationships, but it could also be about your career, health, mindset, hobbies and anything else that makes you happy.

THE KNIGHT OF PENTACLES TAROT MEANING

The Pentacles are a symbol for the physical world and can represent money, but they also represent stability and creating physical things from an idea.

If the Knight of Pentacles shows up in a reading, it might be time to think about how you can create some routines full of action steps towards your goal.

The Knight of Pentacles plans his next steps with incredible efficiency - he doesn’t want to waste any of his precious time or resources. He’s also very responsible - responsible for the outcome he knows is based on his previous actions.

A good coaching question would be:

What are the most efficient action steps I can take to reach my goal?

THE KNIGHT OF SWORDS TAROT MEANING

The Knight of Swords has a mind as sharp as a blade. He’s trained it. He has honed his focus and mindset, and it’s now a powerful tool to help him achieve exactly what he wants in life. In a reading, the Knight of Swords is most probably trying to encourage you to either be a bit more ambitious or take bigger, faster action. Make sure your mind is aligned with success. He’s telling you to stop sitting around waiting for the right time… the right time is now.

A good coaching question would be:

Where am I procrastinating? How can I sharpen my mind to take big, aligned action steps?

THE KNIGHT OF WANDS TAROT MEANING

The Knight of Wands is full of spirit… both energetically and literally. He takes the child-like enthusiasm from the Page of Wands and turns it into passion. A passion for his goal to be realised, his ideal life to be lived, or the necessary changes to be made.

This card is all about putting big energy into projects and situations - the energy that creates bright futures. If the Knight of Wands shows up in certain positions, it can show that you are being a bit impulsive, not thinking things through properly and maybe your ideas are not grounded in reality.

A good coaching question would be:

What passion is it time to move forward with?
