How To Market Yourself As A Psychic Medium

Perhaps the biggest challenge for many isn’t developing their mediumship skills, but taking the big leap to go public and set up their own business as a professional medium.

I get it. It can be scary. Mediumship unfortunately is still misunderstood by many (although this is rapidly changing for the better). The fear of being judged can feel very real for newbie mediums.

As long as you are confident in your own mediumship abilities and you have a genuine intention to help people heal with your skills, you will be ok. People will get over it once they see all the good you do.

Marketing Essentials For Psychic Mediums

Here are some things you can do to market yourself and draw your ideal client towards you:

  1. Because you want to come over as trustworthy, approachable and professional, it’s a good idea to have a website. Think of a website as a giant business card. It’s a place where you can detail your experience, your specialities, and your client testimonials. You can also outline your services, tell potential clients what they can expect when they book a reading with you and share your contact details.

  1. Love it or hate it, networking is an essential part of being a business owner- in any industry. Go to spiritual events, attend workshops run by other practitioners, join some local psychic development circles and connect with other people who are interested in mediumship. Some of these people will turn into clients. You can also collaborate with others in complementary fields to cross-promote your services. Introduce people to your work with low-cost readings or workshops. People can experience what you do at little cost to themselves and when they see the benefits, they’ll probably book a full-price reading with you.

  1. Gaining clients through word of mouth and referrals is a great way to grow your business because it doesn’t cost you a penny! Plus, your clients will be more invested in the work because your services have been recommended by someone else. In marketing, this is called social proof. Always ask your clients for testimonials and offer them a discount on future sessions if they refer someone else.

  1. Pitch yourself as an expert in your field by creating educational content about mediumship. Use social media to create posts and videos to share your knowledge. Write blog posts for your website on topics related to mediumship, psychic development, understanding spirit guides and so on. Perhaps you could even start a YouTube channel or a podcast. By doing this, you’ll connect with your audience on a deeper level as they get to know you and what you do. You’ll also be helping to demystify mediumship and sharing the benefits of how it can help others.

  1. Have integrity. Audiences can spot a fraud a mile away. They know when someone is trying to make a quick buck. Never make promises about things you can’t do. This is particularly relevant in mediumship because often you won’t have any idea what will happen in a client’s reading. Be authentic in all of your marketing efforts and be transparent about what your clients can expect from you. And make sure you share your love and passion for this wonderful psychic skill!

Of course, this is just scratching the surface. There are many more things you can do to market yourself as a medium once you’ve initially got up and running but start with these.

It’s helpful to journal about who you are, what’s important to you, what your brand values are (these should really be the same as your personal values) and why you are choosing to pursue this as a professional career path. Doing this will help you no end in your marketing messaging.
