What does the Strength Tarot card mean?
As Tarot readers, we are not immune to the difficulties of life. We go through many of the things our clients go through.
I think this actually can help us help others in a profound way. It makes us more authentic healers.
We all have times in our lives when we pray to the heavens and ask for strength
Life often brings us big challenges. These can feel overwhelming and impossible to conquer.
Does this sound like you?
Sometimes we can lose everything and not see a way to rebuild our lives. Sometimes life can feel unfair, cruel even. And sometimes we have to be strong for others… when we don’t feel very strong ourselves.
The Strength Tarot Card Represents Inner Strength
In the Tarot, the Strength card doesn’t represent physical might. Instead, it means the pure strength you have inside you. This pure strength helps you face problems with grace and composure.
Ever get angry?
Anger is a natural way that our bodies process stress. But this can be changed by focusing on the inside and shifting to a more graceful approach.
The Strength Card Teaches Patience And Grace
With practice, you can overcome overwhelm. You can become more patient.
When you approach life from this stance, the universe does something a little strange.
As far as I can tell, it just seems to sort out our problems in ways we could never dream up. It softens the challenges we face.
If you see the Strength card in a reading, it’s an opportunity to journal on the following:
When did you last feel overwhelmed, and what was your default reaction?
When in the past have you chosen to be patient and resilient instead of reactive?
How did this change the outcome of the challenge you faced?
If I were to choose a personal growth practice that embodied the qualities of the Strength card, it would be mindfulness.
No one has ever become worse off for learning mindfulness practices. It works to calm your mind and build out your higher self qualities.
Here are some other things you can try:
Before reacting negatively, take a deep breath. Consider what the most graceful response would be.
Ground your emotions and make better decisions by meditating and journaling every day.
When you are facing a new challenge, visualise the Strength card and let it remind you to take a graceful, more thoughtful approach. Take actions that will result in the best outcome for all.
The image in the Rider-Waite deck shows divine grace gently closing the mouth of a lion.
The Strength card asks you to quieten down your ferocious roar… fear, anger and doubt.
By becoming patient, graceful, thoughtful and compassionate, you can find your true power.
I hope this helps you face any challenges you are going through at the moment.
