A really common question my students have before signing up to learn Tarot with me is “what can I earn from Tarot?”
I get it. It’s natural to wonder if you can make a living from being a Tarot reader before you invest in training.

CAN YOU MAKE A LIVING DOING TAROT READINGS FULL TIME?
I’m writing this blog post to tell you that you absolutely can become a full-time, well-paid Tarot reader. I’m going to show you how you can earn a good living from Tarot readings, whilst helping your clients live much happier lives.
HOW MUCH DO TAROT READERS MAKE IN THE UK AND US?
Although becoming a full-time Tarot reader is a financially viable career, it’s difficult to say exactly how much the average Tarot reader earns because that depends on many different things:
The services you offer
The places you do Tarot readings
The prices you charge
How you generate new business
The good news is that as a Tarot reader, you help people solve their problems… and people are always going to have problems, whether in business, love, or on their personal development journey. These people will need your help and will be happy to pay you to shine a light on their problems and help them find a solution.
HOW DO TAROT READERS MAKE MONEY?
There are four main ways serious, professional Tarot readers can earn money from Tarot readings:
Psychic Fayres
These can be a great way to start your business and even bring in steady income if you do them consistently. Once your reputation grows, people will keep coming back and recommending that their friends visit your stall. Tarot Events
Private parties, hen groups and even some corporations will pay good money to have you show up and read Tarot for their guests or staff. Events like this put you in front of a lot of people, helping you expand your network, gather reviews, and build your reputation. You’ll probably find many of the people at these events follow up with you for a more in-depth Tarot reading.
Digital Readings
This is a service you can offer remotely. A client will purchase a Tarot reading from you, and you will send it via email or record a short video for them. You’d typically charge less than an in-person reading, but you could fit more digital readings into a day. They are shorter, but are still helpful to people.
Private 1:1 Tarot Sessions
This is usually a 45-60 minute session that takes place in person (if you have somewhere professional to carry out the readings) or live online via meeting software. You could even do 1:1 Tarot readings by video call on a mobile phone.
HOW MUCH DOES A TAROT READER MAKE PER READING?
Again, this can depend on many things such as your level of experience, how you have positioned your branding and marketing, your reputation, the number of positive reviews you have, and your confidence in charging premium prices.

There are Tarot readers who predict what is potentially going to happen in their clients’ lives, and there are Tarot readers with an incredible skill - the ability to help clients navigate huge transformations by coaching them. Coaching will bring out your clients’ strengths and qualities and help them walk towards their dreams.
