WHAT DO THE SIXES MEAN IN TAROT?

Sometimes we all feel like giving up.  Despite our best efforts, we get nowhere and wonder if it’s worth it at all.

Some Minor Arcana cards can give you hope if that’s the case.

THE SIXES IN TAROT

If a Six shows up in a reading, it’s telling you to stick to the path you’re on.

You may have reached a plateau or a twist in the road, but it’s not a dead end.

THE 6’S ARE TELLING YOU TO PERSEVERE

A Major Arcana card placed next to a Six, like The Star, The Sun, or perhaps even The Lovers, all suggest that it will be worth it in the end.

Perhaps you need to persevere with a new relationship, working on a new business idea, or even persevering in your own healing journey…. Just trust that there will be a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow.

Let’s take a look at some of the suit-specific meanings of the Sixes, along with some transformational Tarot coaching questions.

THE SIX OF CUPS TAROT MEANING

If a Six of Cups shows up in a reading, it’s telling you to persevere on the path of the heart.

Often clients are going through some sort of emotional healing and the cards indicate that they should continue. Sometimes a Six of Cups is telling you to keep following your dreams and doing the things that make you happy.

A good coaching question would be:

“When you listen to your heart, what is it telling you not to give up on?”

THE SIX OF PENTACLES TAROT MEANING

As you’ve probably guessed, the Six of Pentacles indicates that you should persevere with whatever money goals you have. Perhaps you are working hard doing some overtime to save up for something… keep going. Perhaps you’ve decided to get out of debt once and for all, but you’ve had to make some sacrifices… don’t give up, it will work out well!

A good coaching question would be:

“How can you remind yourself of your goals to keep motivated?”

THE SIX OF SWORDS TAROT MEANING

Probably the hardest thing of all is to find the mental strength to push forward in times of difficulty. The Six of Swords shows you that you have the resources to continue. Don’t stop!

A good coaching question would be:

“What are your strengths and which of those can you employ in this situation?”

THE SIX OF WANDS TAROT MEANING

The Six of Wands speak of gaining wisdom, spiritual or otherwise. Usually, true self-wisdom is gained after a difficult time in life, once we’ve had time to reflect on events. If a Six of Wands shows up in a reading, it might be time to stop and reflect and decide which actions to take to pursue the path of wisdom.

A good coaching question would be:

“What have your experiences taught you in terms of self-mastery?”

It’s always helpful to look at the Sixes in context with the other cards, but essentially whatever good thing you or your client is working towards should continue.
